Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Benoni . This role is focused on creating detailed designs for new mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and manufacturing requirements. You will work collaboratively with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to bring cutting-edge products to market. • Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Perform tolerance analysis and FEA simulations to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Document design changes and maintain revision control of engineering documentation.

• BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor) and understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining).
• Familiarity with stress analysis and simulation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
