Bridge Engineer

Our client is looking for an accomplished Bridge Engineer to join their team in Randburg . This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with the necessity of on-site presence for critical project phases. You will be involved in the design, analysis, and management of bridge construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and longevity. This is a key position for an engineer passionate about complex structural challenges and contributing to significant transportation infrastructure improvements.

• Design and analyze various types of bridges, including beam, arch, and suspension bridges.
• Perform structural calculations and prepare detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and condition assessments of existing bridge structures.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international bridge design codes.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams.
• Oversee construction activities related to bridge elements during site visits.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural or Bridge Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience specifically in bridge design and construction.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Proficiency in bridge design software (e.g., MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge) and analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of bridge construction materials and techniques.
