Our client is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Chemical Process Optimization Engineer to join their fully remote operations team. This role is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, yield, and sustainability of existing chemical processes through data analysis and the implementation of advanced control strategies. You will work with a global team of experts, leveraging digital tools and sophisticated modeling techniques to identify and implement process improvements.
This position is perfect for an engineer passionate about driving operational excellence and reducing environmental impact from a remote setting.
- Analyze process data to identify opportunities for optimization in terms of efficiency, energy consumption, and waste reduction.
- Develop and implement advanced process control (APC) strategies and algorithms.
- Utilize simulation and modeling software to test and validate optimization solutions before deployment.
- Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to understand process challenges and implement solutions.
- Monitor the performance of optimized processes and provide ongoing support.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in process optimization and digital transformation.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a focus on process control or optimization.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process optimization, data analysis, and advanced control.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis/machine learning tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, kinetics, and mass transfer principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
