About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineering Project Lead to join their fully remote team. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage and drive various civil engineering projects from anywhere, collaborating virtually with a diverse team of professionals. You will be responsible for the overall success of assigned projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, timelines, and budget constraints, while fostering a collaborative remote work environment.
This is an ideal position for a self-disciplined engineer who excels in a distributed team setting and thrives on delivering high-quality results.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects remotely.
- Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and resources effectively across distributed teams.
- Oversee the work of remote engineering staff and external consultants, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders via digital channels.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges in a virtual environment.
- Ensure all project documentation and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- B.Eng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering with a professional registration (e.g., Pr Eng).
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects successfully in a remote setting.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for virtual collaboration.
- Proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Slack, Zoom).
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles across various disciplines.
