Remote Reservoir Engineer - Oil & Gas

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to their operations in the Oil & Gas sector from anywhere in South Africa. This position is critical for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and optimizing reservoir performance through advanced analysis and modeling techniques. You will work independently and collaboratively with global teams, leveraging cutting-edge technology to provide strategic insights and drive exploration and production strategies, all while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of a remote-first work environment.

• Conduct reservoir characterization and performance analysis using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and manage dynamic reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and optimize production strategies.
• Perform material balance calculations, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluations for reservoir assets.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and implement appropriate techniques.
• Prepare technical reports, reserve estimates, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscientists, production engineers, and other disciplines in a virtual setting.

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas exploration and production .
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, ECLIPSE, CMG).
• Strong understanding of reservoir geology, petrophysics, and fluid properties.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver high-quality results in a remote work environment .
