Senior Civil Engineer - Water Resources

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources management to join their team in Benoni . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead critical projects focused on water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control. You will play a key role in designing sustainable water infrastructure solutions, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and contributing to the resilience of water systems in the region.

The position demands a strong technical background, project leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work setting.

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, and distribution networks.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water availability, manage stormwater runoff, and mitigate flood risks.
• Develop environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with water quality regulations and permits.
• Prepare detailed design reports, technical specifications, and construction drawings for water resource projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources engineering, including design and project management.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, HEC-RAS, Info Works WS) and CAD platforms.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, stormwater management techniques, and dam safety principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly preferred.
