Remote Mine Ventilation Engineer

Our client is seeking a specialized and experienced Mine Ventilation Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is critical for ensuring the safety, health, and productivity of underground mine personnel by designing, analyzing, and optimizing ventilation systems. You will conduct detailed airflow modeling, assess environmental conditions, and recommend solutions to maintain optimal air quality and temperature within the mine workings.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in mine ventilation principles, advanced simulation tools, and the ability to provide expert guidance and support to mine operations remotely, contributing to a culture of safety and operational excellence.

• Design, model, and optimize underground mine ventilation systems for safety and efficiency.
• Conduct airflow and thermal modeling using specialized ventilation simulation software.
• Assess and monitor environmental conditions, including air quality, temperature, and humidity.
• Develop strategies for dust control, gas dilution, and emergency response ventilation.
• Prepare detailed ventilation reports, plans, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate remotely with mine engineers, safety officers, and operations teams to implement and maintain ventilation systems.

• Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in ventilation.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering , specifically for underground mining operations.
• Proficiency with ventilation modeling software such as Ventsim, Ventlog, or similar.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and gas behavior in underground environments.
• Knowledge of dust suppression and control technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
