Remote Mine Ventilation Engineer

You will be responsible for maintaining air quality, controlling temperature and humidity, and managing dust and gas levels through strategic ventilation planning.

• Design and optimize mine ventilation networks to ensure adequate airflow and environmental conditions.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and analyze data to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
• Develop strategies for controlling heat, humidity, dust, and noxious gases underground.
• Specify and select ventilation equipment, including fans, ducting, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mine ventilation.
• Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams to integrate ventilation requirements into mine designs.

• MSc or MEng in Mining Engineering with a specialization in Ventilation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering, with a strong focus on underground operations.
• Proficiency with mine ventilation modeling software (e.g., Ventsim, WENDIR).
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and air quality management principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
