About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Production Systems Engineer to design, implement, and refine production systems for their operations, offering a remote work opportunity. This role focuses on optimizing the flow of materials, information, and people within production environments to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. You will analyze current systems, identify areas for improvement using engineering principles, and implement solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and proactive engineer with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Design and optimize production layouts and workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for material handling, inventory control, and shop floor management.
- Utilize simulation software and modeling techniques to test and validate system designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and systems into production environments.
- Ensure production systems comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production systems design, manufacturing engineering, or operations analysis.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control systems.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, Any Logic) and data analysis tools is essential.
