Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer

Our client, a leader in aerospace technology based in Polokwane , is seeking an innovative Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer . This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems for aircraft. You will be involved in the design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability standards.

• Design, develop, and validate aircraft electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control units.
• Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical components and subsystems.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and performance specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (e.g., mechanical, avionics) to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions for electrical system issues, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in aircraft electrical systems engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design and development.
• Proficiency in electrical system simulation and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE).
• Strong knowledge of relevant aviation standards and regulations (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD).
• Experience with harness design, circuit protection, and power management systems.
