About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Design Engineer to support their municipal infrastructure projects in Vereeniging . This role is crucial for the design and development of essential public works, including water reticulation, sewer networks, and stormwater systems. You will collaborate closely with municipal authorities and construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that enhance community services. Key Responsibilities- Design and detail municipal infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for tender and construction purposes.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary project information.
- Ensure designs comply with municipal standards, national regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design queries and ensure project progress.
- Assist in project management tasks, including progress monitoring and quality control.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of relevant South African municipal engineering standards and guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
