Remote Chemical Engineer - Process Simulation

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Chemical Engineer with expertise in process simulation to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is critical for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing complex chemical processes from anywhere in the world. You will work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced simulation software to predict process behavior, troubleshoot issues, and design new or improved operations.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in independent work, possesses strong analytical capabilities, and is adept at communicating technical findings virtually.

• Develop, validate, and utilize advanced process simulation models for a wide range of chemical processes.
• Perform sensitivity analyses, optimization studies, and troubleshoot operational issues using simulation tools.
• Collaborate remotely with plant engineers, R&D teams, and project managers to provide simulation support.
• Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing simulation results, findings, and recommendations.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of simulation best practices and libraries.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in process simulation software and methodologies.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on process simulation and modeling.
• Expert proficiency in leading process simulation software packages (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, COMSOL).
• Solid understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, including thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
