Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join their team in Paarl . This hybrid role involves the design, development, and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various applications. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and installation teams to ensure that HVAC solutions are efficient, reliable, and meet all specified requirements.

• Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analysis using specialized software.
• Create detailed design drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD software.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC installations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC system design.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Trace 700).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and air distribution principles.
