About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their power generation operations in Nelspruit . This role involves the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems within power plants, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and safety. You will be involved in projects ranging from new installations to upgrades and ongoing operational support, working closely with a team of engineers and technicians.

- Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for power generation facilities, including turbines, pumps, and piping.
- Conduct performance analysis and diagnostics on mechanical equipment to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of plant machinery.
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical components and systems.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the power generation or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with rotating machinery, such as turbines and generators, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
