Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components for a variety of construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere while contributing to impactful projects.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a virtual environment, providing critical structural engineering solutions.
- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and other construction projects using specialized software.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for project documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with national and international building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and investigations as required, or review site reports thoroughly.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) registration or eligibility is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, Revit Structure). - Strong understanding of building codes, material science, and construction methods.
