Solar PV Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a talented Solar PV Design Engineer to join their expanding team, supporting projects nationwide from a remote-first perspective. This role is crucial for conceptualizing and designing efficient and reliable photovoltaic (PV) solar energy systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. You will be responsible for creating detailed system designs, performing energy yield analyses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and codes.

• Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for solar PV systems , including component selection and site layout.
• Perform energy production modeling and yield assessments using industry-standard software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope).
• Ensure designs comply with national electrical codes, local regulations, and client specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design of photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Proficiency with solar design software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
• Strong understanding of PV module technology, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical balance of system components.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and permitting requirements for solar installations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
