Structural Mechanical Engineer

Our client requires a dedicated Structural Mechanical Engineer to bolster their engineering capabilities in Richards Bay . You will be responsible for conducting detailed structural analyses, ensuring designs can withstand operational loads and environmental conditions safely and reliably. • Perform advanced structural analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to assess the integrity of mechanical designs.
• Develop and validate structural designs for various components and systems under different load conditions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate structural requirements into overall system designs.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing analysis methodologies, results, and recommendations.
• Provide technical expertise on structural aspects during project planning, execution, and review phases.

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in structural analysis.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in structural engineering and analysis.
• Expertise in using FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran).
• Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, plasticity, and fatigue analysis.
• Experience with codes such as ASME, BS, or relevant international standards.
• Strong analytical reasoning and meticulous attention to detail for work in Richards Bay.
