Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Optimization Engineer for a fully remote opportunity based in Cape Town , supporting their extensive industrial operations. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing and operational processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement in a virtual team setting.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis, workflow mapping, and on-site (virtual observation) assessments.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures and best practices for production and operational activities.
- Utilize simulation and modeling techniques to test and validate proposed process changes before full-scale implementation.
- Measure and report on the performance of implemented changes, ensuring they meet targeted efficiency and cost-saving goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new processes into existing operational frameworks and provide necessary training virtually.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and process optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in process improvement, operations analysis, or industrial engineering roles.
- Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Visio, Simul8).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making.
