About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Industrial Automation Specialist to join their innovative team, supporting their operational base near Port Elizabeth . In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that drive efficiency and precision in our client's manufacturing processes. Leveraging your expertise, you will remotely manage and optimize control systems, PLCs, robotics, and SCADA systems.

- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
- Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage and optimize robotics, conveyor systems, and other automated machinery remotely.
- Provide remote technical support for automated manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Collaborate with on-site engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommend adoption of new tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in industrial automation , including PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex automated systems remotely.
- Experience with robotics integration and programming.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Excellent remote communication and problem-solving skills.
