Radio Access Network; RAN) Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer to contribute to their expanding operations in Bloemfontein . This hybrid role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of our client's wireless network infrastructure, ensuring superior mobile connectivity for their customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy and manage advanced RAN technologies, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure the network meets evolving demands.

This is a key position within our client's telecoms division, playing a direct role in network quality and customer experience.

• Design, configure, and deploy RAN solutions, including base stations and related equipment.
• Monitor RAN performance metrics and conduct root cause analysis for any degradations or outages.
• Optimize network parameters to enhance coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
• Collaborate with site acquisition and construction teams for new site rollouts.
• Support the integration of new RAN technologies and features into the existing network.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex RAN-related issues, ensuring minimal impact on subscribers.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with RAN technologies (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G ).
• Familiarity with RAN planning tools and performance monitoring software.
• Understanding of RF principles and wireless propagation.
• Experience with network element configuration and troubleshooting.
