Senior Well Operations Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Well Operations Engineer to join their remote team, providing critical support to operations potentially linked to Polokwane . This position is essential for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling, completion, and intervention operations in the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising a wide range of well operations, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and environmental standards.

This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing significantly to complex field projects, requiring strong technical acumen and excellent remote collaboration skills.

• Plan, design, and execute drilling, completion, and workover programs to meet project objectives.
• Develop detailed well execution plans, including equipment selection, logistics, and personnel requirements.
• Manage and supervise on-site operations remotely, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and performance targets.
• Conduct risk assessments for well operations and develop mitigation strategies for potential hazards.
• Oversee the procurement of services and equipment, ensuring cost control and timely delivery.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in well operations engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven experience in planning and executing complex drilling, completion, and intervention operations.
• Thorough understanding of well control principles, equipment, and procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
