Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Centurion . This role is central to developing and deploying cutting-edge battery energy storage solutions that will enhance grid stability and support the integration of renewable energy sources. You will work on the complete lifecycle of storage projects, from initial design and simulation to testing, commissioning, and ongoing performance monitoring.

- Design and engineer integrated energy storage systems (ESS), including battery technologies, power conversion systems, and control software.
- Perform system modeling and simulations to optimize ESS performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop technical specifications, procure components, and oversee the assembly and testing of ESS prototypes and full-scale systems.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate control algorithms and monitoring platforms for ESS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the installation, commissioning, and operation phases of projects.
- Stay current with advancements in battery chemistry, power electronics, and grid-scale energy storage technologies.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the design, development, or deployment of energy storage systems or power electronics.
- Strong understanding of lithium-ion batteries , flow batteries , and other energy storage technologies.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and experience with power system analysis.
- Knowledge of grid codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for energy storage.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage complex technical projects.
