Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their remote-first engineering team. • Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage and medium-voltage power systems, including substations, distribution networks, and protection schemes.
• Perform detailed power system studies, such as load flow, short circuit, stability, and arc flash analysis.
• Develop technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering drawings for power system equipment and infrastructure.
• Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of power system components and projects, providing remote technical support.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international power system standards and safety regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the power systems group within a remote work framework.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in the design and engineering of power systems.
• In-depth knowledge of power system protection, control, and automation technologies.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software like PSS/E, ETAP, or DIgSILENT Power Factory.
• Experience with renewable energy integration and grid connection studies is highly desirable.
