About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their industrial maintenance team in Vereeniging . This hybrid role requires you to be on-site for critical maintenance and troubleshooting activities while offering flexibility for planning and administrative tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems within a demanding industrial environment.
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on problem-solving and contributing to the smooth operation of essential manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, machinery, and control panels to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend necessary replacements or upgrades.
- Collaborate with production teams to understand operational needs and provide electrical support.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical diploma.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, motors, drives, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.
