About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking entity in the energy exploration sector, is seeking a Remote Lead Reservoir Engineer to spearhead their subsurface evaluation efforts. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere, focusing on the characterization, modeling, and development of hydrocarbon reservoirs. You will be instrumental in optimizing production strategies, evaluating reserves, and identifying new exploration opportunities. Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical evaluation and development planning for oil and gas reservoirs.
- Perform reservoir simulation studies to forecast production, optimize recovery, and assess economic viability.
- Conduct reserves estimation and reporting in compliance with industry standards (e.g., SPE, PRMS).
- Identify and evaluate new exploration and development opportunities through prospect generation and risk assessment.
- Mentor and guide junior reservoir engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to develop integrated field development plans.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong focus on unconventional reservoirs and exploration.
- Demonstrated expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel RE, ECLIPSE, CMG).
- Proven ability in reserves estimation, economic analysis, and uncertainty assessment.
- Strong understanding of geological concepts, petrophysics, and production operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote team management.
