We are seeking a Mechanical CAD/BIM Technician to join our team.

Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. The successful candidate may be based out of one of our Prairies offices, located in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba. We also offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements.

Using your knowledge of drafting practices and CAD platforms you will work closely with other CAD Technician / Technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks:

• Prepare engineering drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with Revit.
• Ensure Revit, CAD Standards, Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
• Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards.
• Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.
• Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.
• Generate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Develop 2D or 3D piping plans, models, and arrangements starting from P&IDs that schematically show the system and piping concepts.
• Prepare 3D models of equipment and piping systems.
• Create and understand custom blocks (families) using Revit software.
• Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.
• Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
