Remote Electrical Design Engineer - Renewables

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on renewable energy projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative green energy solutions. You will be responsible for the electrical design and development of solar, wind, and battery storage systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about sustainability, enjoys working independently, and excels at collaborating digitally with a geographically dispersed team.

Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-performance, cost-effective renewable energy installations that meet stringent technical and environmental standards.

• Design electrical schematics and layouts for renewable energy systems, including PV arrays, inverters, and battery storage.
• Perform electrical calculations for system sizing, protection, and grid interconnection.
• Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for electrical components.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during the procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, and external stakeholders via digital platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, with a significant portion focused on renewable energy .
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools for energy systems.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards applicable to renewable energy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote , autonomous environment.
