About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Aircraft Systems Technician with a specialization in avionics to join their expanding technical support team. This fully remote position involves providing expert technical assistance, troubleshooting, and diagnostic support for aircraft avionics systems to maintenance crews and engineers worldwide. You will leverage your deep understanding of aircraft electrical and electronic systems to resolve complex issues, interpret technical data, and guide effective repairs, all from your home office.

This role is crucial for ensuring the continued operational readiness and safety of our client's global fleet, offering significant autonomy and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and instrumentation.
  • Analyze aircraft system data, maintenance logs, and diagnostic reports to identify root causes of avionics malfunctions.
  • Guide field maintenance personnel through complex repair procedures and troubleshooting steps via phone, video conferencing, and digital platforms.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best practice manuals for avionics systems.
  • Liaise with engineering and manufacturing teams to report systemic issues and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aircraft avionics technology and maintenance techniques.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Avionics Technology, Aircraft Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, avionics components, and diagnostic tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex avionics issues remotely and effectively communicate technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance software and digital documentation platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
