The Opportunity
We’re recruiting on behalf of an established multidisciplinary engineering and design firm with a dedicated and growing data center practice. The team delivers civil engineering design for hyperscale data center campuses and colocation facilities across the U.S., working directly with some of the most prominent owners and developers in the sector. Projects are large‑scale, infrastructure‑heavy, and technically complex; this is not a support role.
The firm operates on a relationship‑based client model, with repeat work and long‑term programmes that give engineers genuine continuity and depth of involvement across project life cycles.
As Project Civil Engineer, you will operate across two tracks depending on project scale and type — serving as project manager on some commissions and lead design engineer on others.
Responsibilities include:
- Civil site design and engineering for large‑scale data center campuses
- Preparation of planning and design documents, engineering calculations, and construction documents
- Development and maintenance of project and client‑specific design standards
- QA/QC review and technical oversight on complex, multi‑discipline scopes
- Coordination with internal discipline leads, subconsultants, and client technical teams
- Site observation, client meetings, and ongoing project communication
- PE licence — required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Proficiency in Civil 3D
- 6+ years of project experience in civil site design or related infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to manage project delivery and lead technical teams
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary environments
- Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience
- Performance‑based bonus — individual and team
- 401(k) with competitive employer match
- Full benefits package — medical, vision, dental, paid time off
- Wellness programme
- Structured career development and growth pathways
- Flexible working arrangements — fully remote, hybrid, or office‑based
