Job Description & How to Apply Below

Fed up with firefighting every day?

Do you enjoy solving technical challenges rather than sitting in endless internal meetings?

Want to work for a company that trusts its engineers, values your expertise and gives you the freedom to get on with the job?

We're looking for a VoIP Engineer to join a growing telecoms provider on a fully remote basis.

This is a hands on engineering role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with hosted telephony, SIP, networking and customer solutions. You'll be part of a supportive team where technical knowledge is respected and you'll have the autonomy to make a real impact.

You'll receive:
  • A salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience
  • Fully remote working
  • Ongoing technical training and development
  • A supportive, experienced team environment
  • The opportunity to work with a wide range of telecoms technologies
  • Genuine autonomy without micromanagement
What you'll actually be doing

You'll be responsible for supporting, configuring and deploying VoIP and telecoms solutions for business customers across the UK.

Your role will include:
  • Managing VoIP installations, migrations and deployments
  • Supporting hosted telephony platforms and SIP services
  • Troubleshooting voice, network and connectivity issues
  • Configuring routers, firewalls and associated networking equipment
  • Working closely with customers to resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues when required
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service throughout every project
  • Documenting configurations, changes and resolutions
Ideally, you'll have:
  • Previous experience within a VoIP engineering or telecoms support role
  • Strong knowledge of SIP, hosted telephony and IP networking
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity and voice quality issues
  • A solid understanding of routers, switches and firewalls
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach
  • The ability to work independently whilst remaining a strong team player

Experience with platforms such as Gamma, Ring Central, Horizon, 3CX, Wildix, Cisco, Yeastar or similar solutions would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

A bit about the environment

This is a business that believes good engineers don't need managing every five minutes.

They:
  • Trust people to do their job
  • Value expertise and innovation
  • Invest in training and development
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Focus on outcomes rather than presenteeism

You'll be treated like a professional, given responsibility from day one and supported by people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
