Remote Mechanical Design Engineer - Product Introduction

Our client is seeking an innovative Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join their New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This role is crucial for bringing new, cutting-edge products to market, focusing on the design, prototyping, and manufacturing readiness of mechanical components and systems. You will work virtually with a talented global team, contributing to the development lifecycle from concept through to mass production.

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for new product releases using advanced CAD tools.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional NPI teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, in a remote setting.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new product designs.
• Support the transition from prototype to production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving sessions, and prototype testing.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on New Product Introduction.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, PTC Creo) and familiarity with FEA tools.
• Experience working with various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
