Remote Industrial Engineer - Process Optimization

Our client is a forward-thinking organization seeking a dedicated Remote Industrial Engineer to focus on Process Optimization. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in enhancing operational efficiency from anywhere. You will analyze complex business and manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and design innovative solutions to drive productivity and cost savings. Working independently and collaboratively with distributed teams, you'll contribute to implementing lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives across various projects.

This role is perfect for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving intricate problems and enjoys the flexibility of a remote work environment, impacting operations across different sites including our facility in Mossel Bay.

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Create detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and visual aids for process implementation.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate proposed process changes before deployment.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and engineering, to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and lean/Six Sigma.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver complex improvement projects remotely.
• Expertise in process mapping, data analysis, statistical software, and simulation tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and virtual collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
