Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Lead Construction Engineer to provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for construction projects, including those in the Sandton area. Operating from a remote capacity, you will guide engineering teams, review designs, ensure compliance with technical standards, and solve complex engineering challenges. This role is perfect for a visionary engineer who can lead from a distance, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in construction methodologies.
You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of projects and ensuring their structural integrity and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to construction engineering teams remotely.
- Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and calculations for compliance and constructability.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices and standards across projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and engineering issues that arise during construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and external consultants on technical matters.
- Oversee quality control and assurance processes for engineering deliverables and construction execution.
- Extensive experience as a Construction Engineer , with a proven track record in a leadership capacity.
- Deep knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Proficiency with engineering design software and project management tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, effectively applied in a remote setting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent qualification is essential.
