Power Generation Engineer

Our client is seeking an accomplished Power Generation Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis, supporting their diverse portfolio of energy assets, including those operating in the vicinity of Paarl . This role is fundamental to the optimal operation, maintenance, and performance enhancement of power generation facilities. You will apply your deep engineering knowledge to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety across various power generation technologies.

• Analyze operational data to identify areas for performance improvement and cost reduction in power plants.

• Conduct root cause analyses for equipment failures and operational issues, recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational permits.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in power plant engineering, with a focus on generation operations and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and power plant cycles.
• Experience with various generation technologies (e.g., gas turbines, steam turbines, renewables).
• Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and performance monitoring software.
