Lead Metallurgist - Remote Processing Optimization

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Metallurgist to lead their remote mineral processing optimization initiatives. This is a pivotal role focused on enhancing recovery rates, improving process efficiency, and reducing operational costs through data analysis and remote consultation. You will be responsible for analyzing process data from various mine sites, developing and implementing best practices, and providing expert guidance to on-site teams.

• Analyze metallurgical test data, plant performance metrics, and operational logs to identify areas for process improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize grinding, flotation, leaching, and other mineral processing circuits.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to plant metallurgists and operators.
• Conduct virtual root cause analyses for process upsets and implement corrective actions.
• Research and recommend new metallurgical technologies and equipment for enhanced performance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and performance reviews for management and site teams.

• Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in mineral processing, with a strong track record in operations and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of various mineral processing circuits and equipment.
• Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry) and data analysis tools.
• Proven ability to interpret complex process data and develop actionable insights.
