Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Process Design Engineer to spearhead their process design initiatives within a fully remote framework. - Lead the conceptual and detailed design of chemical processes, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
- Oversee and conduct process simulations, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process design engineering teams.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project management, operations, and construction teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in process design and engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and CAD packages.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles, unit operations, and safety management systems.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated success in leading remote engineering teams and managing complex design projects virtually.
