Civil Design Engineer - Structural Focus

Our client is seeking a meticulous and innovative Civil Design Engineer with a strong structural focus to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng . This role is integral to the design and implementation of robust structural components within larger infrastructure projects. You will contribute to the creation of detailed engineering plans and specifications, ensuring the integrity and safety of various structures.

The position requires close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and site teams, blending office-based design work with occasional site visits. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer passionate about structural integrity and contributing to significant construction endeavors.

• Design and analyze structural elements for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure using advanced engineering principles.
• Develop detailed structural drawings , calculations, and specifications using relevant software.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify design compliance and address any structural issues.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform stress analysis and finite element modeling (FEM) to validate structural designs.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant national and international structural engineering codes and standards.

• B.Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP
  2000, Revit Structure).
• Solid understanding of materials science, load calculations, and foundation design .
• Experience with hybrid work models and effective remote communication protocols.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
