Process Development Engineer

Our client is looking for an innovative Process Development Engineer to join their fully remote engineering department. This position is key to driving the next generation of our chemical processes, focusing on research, design, and pilot-scale testing of new technologies. You will play a vital role in conceptualizing, developing, and optimizing processes that enhance product quality and operational efficiency. • Lead the research and development of novel chemical processes, from bench-scale experiments to pilot plant operations.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate process feasibility, optimize parameters, and characterize product quality.
• Develop detailed process designs, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and provide clear recommendations for process scale-up and implementation.
• Collaborate closely with R&D scientists, manufacturing teams, and external partners in a remote setting.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and presentations on R&D findings and project progress.

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process development, R&D, or scale-up of chemical processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and process modeling.
• Proven ability to manage complex R&D projects independently in a remote work environment.
• Strong understanding of chemical kinetics, reaction engineering, and separation technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting technical information.
