Remote Chemical Process Safety Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Chemical Process Safety Engineer to enhance safety protocols and risk management across their operations. You will conduct hazard analyses, develop safety procedures, and provide expert guidance on process safety management (PSM) principles to distributed engineering and operational teams.

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and procedures.
• Assess risks associated with chemical processes and equipment, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise and training on process safety to internal teams remotely.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related safety discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process safety engineering within the chemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of PHA methodologies and PSM requirements (e.g., OSHA PSM).
• Strong understanding of chemical process hazards and risk assessment techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
