Mechanical Engineer - Project Lead

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer with project leadership capabilities to join their team in Cape Town . This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of mechanical projects, from initial concept and design through to implementation and final commissioning. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality mechanical solutions.

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and operations.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in project management .
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
