Remote Position:
In the innovative nuclear energy sector, weseeking a Refuel Tooling Engineer to join our team in Wilmington, NC. In this pivotal technical position, you will drive engineering strategies for the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) by managing refueling outage execution and logistics. You will lead long-term planning, design complex systems, and cross-functionally ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

responsibilities:- Oversee Mechanical Nuclear Island Support Systems (MNISS) engineering and refueling outage execution for the BWRX-300 SMR.
- Develop outage tooling specifications, fabrication drawings, and secure required PEng stamps/registrations.
- Formulate outage schedules, logistics, and technical processes to maximize productivity and minimize outage duration.
- Collaborate with Licensing, Quality, and Project Management teams to deliver regulatory assets and ensure quality compliance.
- Leverage Six Sigma methodologies to continuously improve project execution, product development, and new technology integration.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering. A minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience is required. Strong technical expertise in systems engineering, tooling specifications, and outage planning is highly desirable.
