Senior Geoscientist - Structural Interpretation

Our client, a significant entity in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geoscientist with expertise in Structural Interpretation to join their global team in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for analyzing complex geological structures using advanced seismic data to identify and mature hydrocarbon prospects. You will leverage sophisticated software and methodologies to contribute to exploration and development strategies, working closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and exploration managers.

• Perform detailed 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation focusing on structural elements, faults, and folds.
• Integrate seismic data with geological models and well information to build robust subsurface interpretations.
• Utilize advanced seismic attributes and structural modeling techniques to understand subsurface complexity.
• Assess geological risk and uncertainty related to structural plays.
• Collaborate with exploration and appraisal teams to evaluate and rank prospects.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural interpretation and seismic analysis within the Oil & Gas exploration sector .
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, SKUA-GOCAD).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, tectonics, and seismic data acquisition/processing.
• Experience in de-risking exploration opportunities based on structural complexity.
