- Develop and update detailed mine plans, including pit designs, stope layouts, and production schedules.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and advise on ground support requirements for safe mining operations.
- Conduct mine feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new projects or mine expansions.
- Utilize mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Mine Sight) for design and simulation.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective implementation of mine plans.
- Monitor mine performance against plan and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Degree in Mining Engineering.
- Proven experience in mine planning and design, preferably in open-pit or underground mining.
- Proficiency with industry-standard mine planning software.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, rock mechanics, and ventilation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple project priorities.
