About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Structural Engineer to join their design and analysis team on a fully remote basis. This critical role involves ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and airworthiness of aircraft by performing detailed stress analysis, designing structural components, and developing repair strategies. You will work with advanced simulation tools and collaborate virtually with manufacturing, testing, and maintenance departments worldwide.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of aerospace materials, structural mechanics, and finite element analysis, with a proven ability to deliver robust engineering solutions in a remote setting, contributing directly to the safety and longevity of the aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform stress analysis and fatigue life assessment of aircraft structures using FEA software (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS).
  • Design and modify structural components, including fuselage, wings, and landing gear, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Develop structural repair schemes for damaged aircraft components, optimizing for strength, weight, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective.
  • Generate detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for structural modifications and repairs.
  • Stay current with advancements in aerospace materials, structural analysis techniques, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in structures.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft structural engineering design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and structural modeling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace materials (e.g., aluminum alloys, composites) and their behavior under load.
  • Experience with aircraft repair design and substantiation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills for remote collaboration.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Fully remote position offering exceptional work-life balance and flexibility.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Contribute to the structural integrity and safety of cutting-edge aircraft.
