Automation and Control Engineer

• Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated industrial processes.
• Integrate various control components, including sensors, actuators, drives, and robotic systems into a cohesive automation solution.
• Develop and implement control system logic and algorithms to optimize process performance, safety, and reliability.
• Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for automation-related issues, providing timely solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and project scopes for new equipment and process upgrades.
• Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, electrical schematics, and user manuals for automated systems in Stellenbosch .

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control system design and implementation.
• Proficiency in programming major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA software.
• Strong understanding of process control principles , instrumentation, and variable speed drives (VSDs).
• Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP) is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
