About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in Mining Operations for a fully remote position. This role is vital for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within mining environments, regardless of physical location. You will provide expert technical support, design improvements, and troubleshooting for the electrical aspects of mining equipment and infrastructure, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
This remote role requires a self-motivated engineer capable of delivering high-value solutions and support to operational teams.
- Provide remote technical expertise and support for electrical systems in mining operations .
- Design and implement electrical solutions for mine infrastructure, including substations, power distribution, and lighting.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults in heavy mining machinery and processing plants.
- Develop and review safety procedures and ensure compliance with mining regulations.
- Contribute to project planning, procurement, and commissioning of new electrical systems.
- Optimize electrical system performance for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- B.Eng or
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant portion in the mining industry.
- Strong understanding of heavy industrial electrical equipment, motor control, and power systems.
- Familiarity with SCADA and PLC systems used in mining automation.
- Experience with electrical safety standards and risk assessments in hazardous environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
