Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to move away from the tools and into a rewarding career in training? Or are you an existing Engineering Trainer or Assessor looking for your next opportunity?

Boston Rose is working with a growing national apprenticeship training provider seeking a Mechanical Engineering Trainer Assessor to join their team, primarily supporting a major employer based at Heathrow Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in mechanical fitting, assembly, manufacturing or engineering maintenance to pass their knowledge on to the next generation of engineers.

Previous teaching or assessing experience is not essential, as the employer is happy to support an experienced industry professional in gaining the relevant qualifications.

The Role

* Deliver Level 3 Mechanical Fitting & Assembly training to engineering apprentices at Heathrow Airport.

* Conduct workplace visits, progress reviews and practical assessments.

* Coach and mentor apprentices, helping them develop their technical knowledge and practical skills.

* Monitor learner progress and support apprentices through to their end-point assessments.

* Work closely with employers to ensure training meets industry requirements.

* Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.

What We're Looking For

* A Level 3 or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

* Strong hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, engineering maintenance or electromechanical engineering.

* A good understanding of mechanical systems, engineering processes and workshop practices.

* Excellent communication skills and an interest in developing others.

* Willingness to travel to employer sites across Greater London.

* A teaching or assessing qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
