Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Subsurface Geoscientist for a fully remote position, to support their global exploration and development initiatives, with key strategic input influencing activities originating from the Kimberley region. This pivotal role involves integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to build and refine subsurface models, identify hydrocarbon potential, and guide drilling and development decisions. You will leverage advanced technologies and analytical techniques to contribute to high-impact exploration and production projects, working independently and collaborating virtually with diverse international teams.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate and interpret geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to develop comprehensive subsurface models.
- Perform detailed prospectivity analysis and risk assessment for exploration opportunities.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers and drilling teams to optimize well planning and placement.
- Utilize advanced software for data visualization, modeling, and interpretation.
- Contribute to regional and field development studies, providing key subsurface insights.
- Mentor junior geoscientists and share technical expertise across the team.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsurface geoscience, with a strong background in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven expertise in seismic interpretation, geological modeling, and uncertainty analysis.
- Familiarity with reservoir characterization techniques and exploration workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and virtual communication skills for a remote setting.
