Senior Structural Engineer - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their distributed engineering team, working remotely to support projects across South Africa. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and oversight of structural components for a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of structural designs, collaborating closely with project teams through advanced digital platforms.

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for various types of structures, including buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards (e.g., SANS codes), and project requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, including architects, civil engineers, and construction managers.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs prepared by junior engineers and provide mentorship.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, responding to queries and resolving structural issues remotely.

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP
  2000, ETABS, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of various construction materials (concrete, steel, timber) and their applications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work setting.
