Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Systems Analyst to join their remote team, focusing on grid integration challenges. This role is crucial for ensuring the stable and efficient integration of renewable energy sources and other distributed resources into the national grid. You will conduct complex simulations, perform stability studies, and develop solutions to enhance grid reliability and capacity.
This is a key position for an expert in power systems engineering who thrives on solving intricate technical problems and influencing the future of energy infrastructure from a remote setting.
- Perform detailed power flow, short-circuit, and dynamic stability analyses of the transmission and distribution grid.
- Develop models and simulations for grid integration of large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Identify and analyze grid constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development of grid codes and technical requirements for new energy resources.
- Collaborate with utility engineers, regulators, and stakeholders on grid interconnection studies.
- Author technical reports and present findings to internal teams and external clients.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in power system analysis, particularly in grid integration.
- Expertise with industry-standard power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, EMTP‑RV).
- Deep understanding of grid dynamics, transient stability, and power quality issues.
- Proven ability to manage complex analytical projects and guide junior engineers.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
